Year 12 News

Taylor Shelley & Nick Rigas,  Year 12 Coordinators

Well done Year 12’s on settling into what has been and will continue to be a very busy term.

Ace Your Exams

On Wednesday 6th August, Year 12 students who are completing a scored VCE pathway participated in an ‘Ace Your Exams’ revision lecture, delivered by Elevate Education. The session was designed to support students in their preparation for upcoming VCAA exams and enable students to do the best they can and was a follow up from Time Management and Study Sensei sessions delivered earlier in the year. Feedback from this presentation was very positive and we hope each student was able to take something constructive away.

Looking After Yourself

We have been reminding everyone all year, however; now is a crucial time to ensure that you are looking after yourselves. The content in your classes will begin to finish up in the coming weeks and exam revision will start to commence. This can increase thoughts of fear/stress about what comes next i.e. in 2026 and beyond. We invite and encourage any students who feel they need to, to reach out to Hamish or the Year 12 Team or a trusted teacher etc. to ensure they are continuing to feel on top of their studies.

Other Reminders

University Open Days for a number of universities are currently happening, so for those planning on attending university, keep an eye out for dates of these. VM students and unscored VCE students are nearing the point where they are able to finish up. Make sure you keep in touch with your teachers to ensure you are completing all necessary work. Career Action Plans must be completed prior to exiting.

Keep it up Year 12's, you are on the home stretch!
