The year 10 cam was widely focused on the theme parks. We went to Movie World, Wet N Wild and Dream World, along with the GC Aqua park. Although the theme parks were lots of fun, we would say our favourite part was shopping at Harbour Town Shopping Centre, as it had many shops you couldn’t find in Horsham. It was a very fun experience.

Our recent school trip to the Gold Coast was amazing, definitely a week to remember! We packed so many fun activities into just a few days, from adrenaline packed theme parks to shopping sprees.
Day 1 we kicked off with an early start to get to the Gold Coast, after arriving we made our way straight to the Aqua Park.
On Day 2 we journeyed to Movie World, we absolutely made the most of our time there riding the roller coasters as many times as we possibly could.
Day 3 we went to Wet N Wild, after the hike up a fair few stairs we had a blast racing each other down the water slides.
Day 4 we experienced Dream World, safe to say the rides were extreme and we all made the most of it, especially the ‘steel taipan’, which most of us went on 4-5 times! This was definitely my highlight.
Our last day we got in a bit of shopping in Harbour Town, followed up by the trek home. Overall the trip was unforgettable and I am very grateful to have experienced the Gold Coast with my peers and teachers.

In Week 2 of Term 3, 60 excited Year 10 students, accompanied by eight staff members, set off for the Alzburg Resort in Mansfield for four unforgettable days of skiing and snowboarding. Each day, the group travelled to Mt Buller where students enjoyed 1.5-hour snowboard lessons, learning new skills and building confidence on the slopes. With plenty of fresh snow, everyone relished the chance to try different runs and challenge themselves.
Meals were a highlight of the trip, with delicious breakfasts and dinners served at the Alzburg Resort, and lunches enjoyed at the ABOM restaurant on the mountain. Evenings were filled with relaxation and fun; students could unwind in the heated pool, spa, or sauna, or compete in friendly matches in the games room.
The week was filled with laughter, adventure, and new experiences. By the end of the trip, students had not only improved their snowboarding skills but also created lifelong memories with their friends.
“The year 10 snow trip to Mount Buller was the best school camp I’ve ever been on. I loved learning how to snowboard even though I had a very sore bum for the week. My favourite part was spending time with all my friends and all enjoying each other's company. After getting the hang of snowboarding I loved going down new runs and slopes and I will forever remember getting lost with Nellie and Millie on a black run. After a long day up at the snow, relaxing in the spa was a nice way to end the day. I’m so glad I got to experience the snow trip with all my friends. The teachers that went also made the trip so enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience, and I loved the week away.” – Scarlett Abbott
“I think the whole experience is worthwhile as its great opportunity to put yourself outside of your comfort zone. Other than getting injured, I enjoyed my time on the mountain and made sure to challenge myself.” – Josh Price
“Our Year 10 snow trip to Mt Buller was so much fun and was defiantly the best school trip I’ve been on. I loved hanging out with my friends and learning how to snowboard, even though I fell over heaps at the start. Once I got the hang of it, it was so exciting going down the slopes and trying new runs. The snow and views were amazing, and it was just fun being up on the mountain. The place we stayed at in Mansfield was really nice, and the meals there and up at Buller were alright too. After a big day in the snow, it was nice to relax in the sauna and spa with my friends and talk about the day. It was such a good trip, and I had the best time.” – Emma Uebergang
