Art - Miss Shannon Taylor

In Grades F-3, we have been focusing on the art element of value. We created a penguin drawing to show light, medium and dark colours. 

In Grades 4-5, we have started our media art unit. Students have begun creating their characters for their manga style comic.

In Grade 6, we have started our media art unit on Claymation. Students have explored what stop motion is, and have begun the planning stages for their very own claymation video.

Grades F-3

We have officially started our Jump Rope unit for our junior grades! We’ve explored the benefits of learning to jump rope: it is a cheap way to have fun and be active, it doesn’t require very much space,  you can do it with your friends, and there are hundreds of trucks to learn to keep you entertained. I’m so proud of our junior students for showing strong resilience and persistence while learning the basics of skipping! 

Grades 4-6

Our senior students have started their Rogaining unit which will run all of Term 3. After a fun start using the parachutes to explore how we can use self-control to support our team in a team activity, we started our first official Rogaining activity which took us around the school to find letter clues for a hidden word.
