🏉 Footy Day 2024 🏉

Yesterday was the day when everything stopped at Woodlands Primary School for the much-anticipated Year 6 vs. Teachers football match. The undefeated teachers' team faced off against our determined Year 6 students, eager to make history.

In true Melbourne fashion, we experienced four seasons in one day, but that didn’t stop the excitement. The teachers got off to a strong start with Mr. Salerni 1.0 scoring the first goal of the day. Mr. Gallagher worked hard in front of goal, showing his craft, though his accuracy left a bit to be desired.

Under the leadership of Mrs. Polydor, the Year 6 team rallied in the second half. Finn Gallagher, Chase Johnston, and Zac Taylor all kicked majors, putting up a valiant fight. Despite their best efforts, the Year 6s fell just short of a historic victory, with the teachers securing a 5-point win.
