Whatâs Happening in Careers?
Year 10
The Year 10 students are progressing through their career exploration journey. They have completed self-assessments and are now focusing on researching courses and options that align with their interests. This includes exploring programs at various institutions and considering apprenticeships. We will continue to guide them in identifying pathways that will lead to success in their chosen fields. There are also some excellent opportunities available for this age group over the school holidays.
Year 11
In our previous session, we had a guest speaker from the Breight Group who discussed opportunities within the mining industry as well as VET qualifications available in Year 12. We also heard from Mrs Pulford, Head of Digital Technologies, who introduced the Certificate II in Applied Digital Technologies and Cert III in Information Technology, which will be available as subjects in Year 12. For more information, please contact Vicky Pulford.
I also spoke to the students about the UniPrep course offered by Notre Dame University. For further details, please see the link or feel free to contact me to discuss.
Year 12
As the term draws to a close, we've been preparing students to not only find jobs but also how to present themselves confidently in interviews. The interview masterclass provided them with the opportunity to practice and refine their responses to meet interview expectations. Next week, we'll hear from our 2023 graduates about their experiences and life after school. Ms Paduano has been assisting students with their scholarship applications. Stay tuned for the recipients to be announced in Term Four!
Some of the Year 12 students will be receiving their early offers this week â congratulations to those students, what a wonderful peace of mind to have before your exams. For more about early offers click here.
Â
Applications for most full-time, part-time and online courses are taken via TAFE Admissions. Some courses are applied directly to the college. If the course you are interested in is not listed in TAFE Admissions, please ensure you check the instructions to apply by visiting the course page on our website.
