Gecko House

by Leah Betson & Ava Singleton

This year, the Geckos have swept up points in many school events. Although we aren’t yet on the top of the table, our house spirit and camaraderie has been amazing to watch.

Our house debating carnival got off to a roaring start, with the Geckos taking victory from Acacia in the qualification round. We have qualified for the final, which will earn us even more points if we come away with a win.

Next term holds even more thrilling opportunities for the red house. With sport events, especially team interschool sports, and math, debating and chess competitions, we cannot wait to score ourselves some more points and further build our house community.

We would also like to farewell our Year 12 Geckos who are in their final weeks of lessons. Good luck for your exams, and congratulations for all you’ve achieved!

Acacia House

by Sylvia Hoye & Saskia White

Acacia members should be very proud of their work during Term 3. We have had many talented students benefit the school community through the school production of Mary Poppins, Regional Athletics and more!

We are so proud of our Acacia House Debating team that unfortunately just missed the win for the topic The minimum age for social media should be lifted from 13 to 16 years old, losing by just half a point. Good luck to the other houses!

An exciting part of this term for Acacia was receiving our house pins. We love to see all the Acacia members wearing their house with pride! Next term we look forward to participating in House Theatre Sports, and hopefully continuing Acacia's winning streak.

A special thanks to all of our Year 12 members, we wish them all the best in their lives after school and a big congratulations for making it this far!
