Mrs Amanda Bartholomew
Congratulations to Ricky Hird on representing our diocese in the Polding Cricket trials held in Lismore last Friday. Ricky batted and bowled (his favoured part of his game) extremely well and enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends. Well done Ricky!
Our Diocesan Soccer Gala Day is this Thursday 26th of September at Gipps Street Playing Fields in Tamworth. Students will be transported by bus at no cost to parents and need to arrive at school by 8.30 a.m. ready to leave by 8:45 a.m.
Students are to wear their full school sports uniform (and will be provided with school representative shirts to wear), and will not need extra equipment to participate, they can play in footy boots or joggers and the school can provide shin pads if needed on request to Mrs Bartholomew. Students are advised to bring sunscreen and hats to wear at the trials. We advise parents to pack a full lunch box, however canteen facilities are available at the grounds. Please remember to bring adequate water for the day.
The weather is not looking great for Thursday, but we will keep our fingers crossed. In the event of a cancellation, the school will notify parents via Compass and school will go ahead as normal. Please like and follow the Armidale Catholic Schools Primary and Secondary Sport page on Facebook as this is the easiest way to keep track on any changes to the day.
All information about Diocesan sports events is well communicated on the Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council Facebook Page. This includes postponements and event photos. Please ensure you take the time to like this page, so you have access to the most up to date information on Diocesan sports events.
School based sport continues each Wednesday for Term 4. We are really excited to have Mitch Power back for tennis sessions from week 2 to week 6. From week 7-10, we will again head to Werris Creek Pool for our swimming sessions. More information and permission for these sessions will come out early next term.
