Incursion with dance and reptiles
We have had a fun incursion day. Reptile Encounter and Learning about World Dance.
In the reptile sessions, the students had the opportunity to meet some of the famous and well-loved reptiles and amphibians, such as frog, phasmid, turtle, snakes and even a small crocodile! The students were so engaged and learnt a lot of fun facts from the presenter. They also had the opportunity to touch, hold and take photos with the animals too!
During our World Dance session, the students learnt a few iconic dance moves from each continent. We ‘travelled’ to Europe, where we learnt moves from Flamenco. We ‘visited’ India, where we learnt some Bollywood moves. We also learnt moves from African dances as well as North and South America dances. At the end of the session, the students had a chance to do their favourite moves on the dance floor. We’ve had lots of interesting moves, someone did the worm, lots of break dancers and karate kicks.
The students had so much fun at the end of the day that they said, “It’s the best day ever!”
