Term 3 Wrap Up

Parent/Teacher Interviews

Thank you to our teachers, parents and students who attended the Parent/Teacher Interviews in week 8. This was a great opportunity to touch base to celebrate successes and learning from the term, and to plan for future learning goals for Term 4.

Pyjama Day

We thank our Junior Student Representative Council members for organising a successful Pyjama Day on Tuesday 17th September. While a little later this year with warmer weather, Pyjama Day is always a hit on the school calendar! Money raised from this event will go towards the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Kids In Space Showcase

On Thursday this week a number of our Year 3- 6 students will be participating in the Kids in Space Showcase at our Molesworth Street Campus. Our Year 3-6 students have been engaging in this program throughout term 3, focusing on space-themed STEM learning and design thinking. Students have been investigating how Space technologies can be used to help solve problems in Space and here on Earth.

End of Term Assembly

Our whole school assembly will be taking place on Friday 20th September at 9:15am at our Molesworth Street Campus. Students from Errol Street will walk across for this assembly to celebrate the end of Term 3. Families are welcome to attend.

SunSmart

As the weather warms up and ahead of term 4, we would like to take the opportunity to remind families that NMPS is a SunSmart school. Please ensure your child has a broad brimmed hat and appropriate SunSmart clothing for school from the beginning of term 4.

For more information, please see links to our Sun Protection Policy and Student Dress Code Policy. Both are found on our school website with all other school policies.

Parent/Carers Opinion Survey

As shared in previous newsletters, this year we have distributed our Parent/Carers Opinion Survey to a random selection of families across both campuses. We are hoping that families will complete the survey, as the results are highly valued in terms of continuous improvement and future planning for our school. If you were sent the survey and haven’t completed it already, please take the time to finalise this survey before it closes on Friday 20th September.

Happy Holidays

Just a reminder that school finishes at 2:15pm for our Errol Street Campus and 2:30pm for our Molesworth Street Campus on Friday. I hope everyone has a relaxing, enjoyable and safe break.

We look forward to seeing everyone return next term on Monday 7th October.
