Below is a piece written by Sarah in Year 6.
The next level of athletics was finally here! Division Athletics, with many more difficult students to compete against. Many ARPS students made it to this round. Everyone was nervous and excited when we arrived - most students' events weren’t until near the end of the day. When the first few events started, the students whose event was about to happen started warming up. Everyone cheered the ARPS students as they did their event. We were very lucky that it wasn’t raining much on the day. Most students in the morning were very cold, using their jackets as blankets. All the other schools were really good. The people who have made it to Regionals are Olivia who placed 2nd in the high jump, the 9/10 year old relay team: Jennica, Sienna, Brenda and Rebecca who came 2nd and myself who came 1st in 800m.
Congratulations to all the students who came to Division Athletics and good luck to those who have made it to Regionals!
