Dear Parents and Carers,

Congratulations to our 12 students who made their First Reconciliation on Tuesday afternoon. It was a lovely celebration for all involved. Thank you to Fr Manny and Wendy Fall for making the experience so meaningful and reflective.

Thank you for a great term, everyone. It has been one of the busiest I have ever known, but we achieved so much: School Masses, Reconciliation, Harmony Day, Athletics, the introduction of Afterschool care, surfing and open-water swimming, hockey, lawn bowls, school photos, getting to know you conversations, FoOLsS meetings, PSGs, NAPLAN, a huge audit, and pancake night. Along the way, the students also did lots of learning and assessments.

We have different visitors to our school who have commented on how wonderful our school environment is, both the physical surroundings and the calibre of the staff. We are so lucky in so many ways.

Thank you to our parent body for all the support and creativity you have given us to make this term such a successful one.

Next term, we are setting up a new School Advisory Committee (SAC) as members of our last committee have left our school. If you are interested in being part of our SAC please let Michelle know. This committee looks at policy, finances, marketing etc.

Over the holidays, we will be celebrating Holy Week and Easter. Easter is celebrated for its profound cultural, spiritual, and historical significance. For Christians, it commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, symbolizing hope, renewal, and the triumph of life over death. It's a cornerstone of faith and is often considered the most joyous holiday in the Christian calendar.

Beyond its religious roots, Easter carries traditions like egg hunts and the Easter Bunny, which represent fertility and new beginnings. These customs are tied to ancient springtime rituals, making Easter not just a religious celebration but also a universal nod to renewal and growth as seasons change.

Whether it's about faith, family gatherings, or playful traditions, Easter has a way of bringing people together to celebrate something meaningful. Do you observe Easter in a special way?

Wishing you all a very safe, enjoyable, and fun-filled break. See you all on Wednesday, the 23rd of April

Keep Smiling

Cathy
