Hello everyone, 

Change to parking restrictions in Nettle St.

If you regularly park next to the school in Nettle st you might have noticed that parking restrictions have changed to create a 'drop off/pick up' zone. This is one of the changes School Council had discussed with Bendigo Council last year to create safer driver habits and picking up/dropping off areas near our school.

If you park along Nettle st in the bays between these signs, you can only park there for 10 minutes. This means that if you regularly park there, you will need to teach your child to come straight out to the car so you can vacate the space within the 10 minutes, and then other cars can use the space. If you are there longer than 10 minutes, we will ask you to move on, do a loop around the block and come back. Please don't be cross with us if we are asking you to follow the parking restrictions!

Maree Crabbe on pornography, yong people and sexuality.

This will be a great session to attend if you are wondering about how you can support your children to navigate the online world and all that they might find/be exposed to.

Maree Crabbe is the Director of the violence prevention initiative, It’s Time We Talked. Maree is Co-Producer and Co-Director of the documentary films Love and Sex in an Age of Pornography, broadcast on SBS in Australia and in 37 other countries, and The Porn Factor, broadcast on SBS. She is also author of In The Picture – a whole school resource to assist secondary schools to address the influence of explicit sexual imagery. Maree’s articles on young people, sexuality and pornography have been published in academic and news media.

Student free day 4 June.

Please take note that we will have a Student free day on Wednesday 4th June so teachers can work on Semester 1 student reports.

Last day of term is next Friday 4th April and it is casual dress day. School finishes at 2:30pm.

This is our last newsletter for the term. I hope the two weeks of school holidays are safe for you and your family. Term 2 starts on Tuesday 22 April so, see you all then!
