Aberfoyle Park High School Careers Expo: A Resounding Success

Aberfoyle Park High School hosted its annual Careers Expo on Thursday, 8 August 2024, and it was a tremendous success. The event, held at the Hub Recreation Centre and attracted a diverse group of students, parents and industry professionals, all eager to explore future career opportunities.

• Wide Range of Exhibitors: Over 50 exhibitors from various industries, including healthcare, engineering, arts, and technology, set up informative booths. Students had the chance to interact with representatives from universities, TAFE institutions, and local businesses.
• Hands-On Activities: Students participated in hands-on activities such as virtual reality job simulations and STEM challenges. These activities provided a fun and immersive way to learn about different career paths.
• University of Adelaide: Their booth was bustling with students eager to learn about various undergraduate programs and scholarship opportunities.
• TAFE SA: Known for their practical and vocational courses, TAFE SA attracted many students interested in hands-on careers.
• South Australia Police (SAPOL): Their information on careers in law enforcement drew significant attention.
• ADF Careers: The Australian Defence Force (ADF) Careers booth was particularly popular, offering insights into various career paths within the military and the benefits of serving in the ADF.
