Science Week

Week 4 of term 3 was national science week.

To celebrate the science faculty held a science scavenger hunt for students.

They had to find all the teachers on a list given to them and write down the answers to the questions that the science teacher asked them.

Students from across the year levels engaged with this all week and we had a winning group by Tuesday who were able to collect all of the correct answers first.

Congratulations to KJ O’S, Jackson B and Josiah Z who were our winners.

Outcome of Middle School Uniform Polo Consultation

Students, parents and staff were surveyed earlier this year about possible changes to the middle school polo top.  As the design has not changed in more than twenty years, two possible new designs were suggested, as well as the option of making no change to the top.

Students and parents were both reluctant to see a change in the polo, with about 63% of both groups stating that they did not wish to see a new design.  In the comments, many people noted that the current cost of living influenced their choice.  For this reason, there will be no new middle school polo top in 2025.

The possibility of a new design will be revisited at some point in the future.  Once a new uniform design is approved, the school will phase this in over a period of time to support families with the added cost of buying new uniform items.
