Assistant Principal
Year 11 & 12
Spring is finally making a welcomed entrance, and this also signals the closing in on the final school-based tasks for our year 12 students and the beginning of rigorous exam preparation to ensure the best possible results. Students have had sessions with Elevate presenters to provide strategies to underpin effective study routines and practices.
Edrolo is a useful resource the school has provided for our year 12 students free of charge, which allows for fantastic and engaging revision opportunities, including the ability to go back and watch videos of concepts students may need to revisit, many unit quizzes and practice exam questions. Each student completing a unit three and four subject has a code to access this platform. Please encourage your child to make the most of this opportunity as part of their final revision routine.
Our LSC careers counsellor Jade Charalambous has been having individual tertiary counselling sessions with students in year 12, please do not hesitate to give her a call at the college if you or your child have questions regarding tertiary requirements or processes regarding entry programs for courses. Students can find Ms. Charalambous located in the wellbeing precinct on the ground floor of the Library Arts building behind reception.
Last week the year 12 students were treated to an information session from Victoria Police loosely themed around ‘Party Safe’ issues, but also exploring road laws and safety issues. The students were incredibly engaged and asked some really relevant and interesting questions as they relate to young adults. It was also nice to see some students inquiring about the Police Force as possible pathways to careers.
The year 11 students in their assembly had a presenter to speak to them about consent in relationships and respectful relationships between adults. The students were actively asking questions and engaged in the presentation.
