Principals' Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The warmth of Spring has definitely been with us this week, along with the rain, which seems to know when we ring the final bell of the day!
Prep - Year 4 Swimming Program
Our Prep to Year 4 Swimming Program has begun with great energy this week. It is a fun experience, two bus rides and a swim!
A reminder that parents are very welcome to come and watch, the details are in the Operoo you signed for your child to have permission to attend. Further, parents are not allowed in the Change Rooms, but may take their own child to public Change Rooms at the pool. Thank you for supporting our Child Safety Protocols.
During the Swimming Program two weeks we will not be holding our Friday Assemblies. We will begin these again on Friday 6th September. NB, the Cake Raffle continues during the Swimming Program!
Confirmation
This Sunday some of our Year 6 students will receive their final Sacrament of Initiation, Confirmation. The students have taken the preparation for this sacrament very seriously, and we know that the day will be a true celebration of not only their faith journey, but also a time to celebrate family and the journey from Baptism to Confirmation. We wish them all the best for Sunday and ask you to remember our candidates for Confirmation in your prayers.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit." (Galatians 5:22, 23, 25)
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful.
The Driveway & Carpark Access
We are so lucky at COHR to have such a large carpark as well as our Drive Through option. It is becoming increasingly disappointing though that the cars that are in the queue at the end of the day are not pulling over to the right, to allow a second lane of traffic access to the carpark. There is ample room for two cars at the driveway entrance.
So please if you are in the queue, you are over to the right, next to the Oval fence. Please ensure anyone who is picking up your children at the end of the day is also aware of this protocol.
The queue moves very quickly, so you may consider joining after 3:20pm, as staff are there until at least 3:40pm each day.
Finally only the students who have parents in the Courtyard are allowed to play after school. Allother students are at the Driveway Gate.
Father's Day @ COHR

The Father's Day Breakfast will begin at 7:30pm and we are looking for Mums to come and help us to cook (from 7am) and serve. Please contact Sandra or Rachel if you can help out.
Art Show
Opening Night - 11th September
Open - Thursday 12th - Wednesday 18th September
Notes also went home for our Art Show this week. We hold an Art Show every second year in our School Hall. It is open for approximately a week and is open from 8:30am - 4:00pm each school day.
Family tickets are on sale for $15 for the Opening Night. This night will include the formal opening by our Student Learning Captains and the drawing of the raffles for the Class Art Pieces.
A Class Art Piece is created by each class and we sell raffle tickets for each piece in the week before the Opening Night, drawing the winner at the Opening Night. These magnificent artworks will be on display in the foyer on the week prior to the Art Show.
This Newsletter
This newsletter contains some vital information regarding the Fete and Parent Association events. These require the contribution of many members of our community and we do encourage you to look for ways in which you can become involved or contribute.
Finally with great joy we offer Congratulations to the Montano Family, Vera 1/2G on the safe arrival of a new baby brother, Gabriel.
