Principal's Message
Well what another big two weeks at ENPS and what a truly fabulous and hoot of a day it was on Friday for Book Week! The dress up costumes from students, staff and parents were incredible. As Captain Underpants (aka Principal Krupp), I certainly had loads of fun! Make sure you check out all the photos in the Book Week section of this newsletter.
Friday 30th August was also a fantastic morning for our VIP and Father’s Day open morning! Thank you to everyone who came along. It was such a special morning for all of our dads, granddads, uncles, male role models and special people who came along to celebrate together. We truly have such a wonderful and very special community at ENPS!
A big congratulations to our Three/Four and Five/Six Hoop Time teams who have competed over the past two weeks. Along with our District Athletics Team, they have been exceeding expectations in their sporting and sportsmanship achievements. Congratulations to them all! We have 12 students now heading to the Divisional Athletics Carnival this week!
Another favourite moment from the week for me was receiving some very special mail from one of our 2025 Foundation students! Logan was so excited about receiving his enrolment offer in the mail, he had to tell me all about it! What a special treat that was. Thanks Logan!
Staffing Updates
In more ENPS baby news, this week we have welcomed baby Mallee Wren Stephens to our school family! Congratulations to Mina, husband Dylan and big sister, Zephi on the safe (yet speedy) arrival of their little girl. We can’t wait to meet her!
We have also welcomed Samantha Cook and Eliza Pitman to our Education Support staff team. Sam has been with us for the past few months and is now officially a part of our ES team while Eliza may be a familiar face to some of our students as a swim teacher from Paul Sadler Swimland in Essendon. We are thrilled to have Sam and Eliza join our ES team for the remainder of the year.
2024 Parent, Caregiver and Guardian Opinion Survey
A thank you to the 94 families who have already completed our the DET Parent and Carer Opinion Survey. The survey has been distributed to 494 families and to date 20% have completed the survey for us. The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will now remain open online until Friday 20 September 2024 (end of Term Three).
At ENPS we value the voice of our families and the Parent and Carer Opinion survey is one of the key data sets used in analysing our school performance and in developing our strategic directions moving forward.
2025 Planning
It is hard to believe but it is also the time of the year that we begin planning for the next year ahead! We ask that if you and your family are planning on leaving ENPS at the end of 2024, please let the school office know as soon as you are in a position to do so. (This excludes Year Six students.)
Foundation 2025 Orientation
Next term we begin the orientation and transition to school program for our new Foundation students for 2025! We are so excited to get to know them and their families. We have been thrilled to meet lots of our new students, returning their enrolment offers to the office in person! A reminder to our 2025 Foundation families that we will be using Compass to send out our communications to you from Term Four so please make sure you have your log in and can access. Please contact the office if you have any questions.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! We can't wait for the special assembly this Friday for the official launch of our House Team shirts.
