3/4 News

3/4s have had a very busy fortnight with guest speakers, incursions and sport!
Connecting with our Inquiry Unit on Social Justice - In Someone Else's Shoes, we had John come and chat with us about his experiences with family members who are visually impaired. He discussed how they made adjustments and embraced their challenges to live a fulfilling life. Students were also able to experience what it feels like to have a vision impairment by wearing blacked out glasses with pin holes to view the world.
Following on from John, 3/4's were lucky enough to have Bailey from grade 3 at St Augustine's come and share his personal story and further information about short-statured people. Bailey's Mum Sherrie is also very special, she grooms horses for the Paralympic team and runs Devine Equine. She was able total to students about the adjustments they make for different levels of impairments. Students were also able to spend some time with Bailey and play a game of down ball.
