STUDENT LEADERSHIP 2024

“Tell yourself first of what kind of person you want to be, and then act accordingly in all that you do."

– Epictetus in Discourses, Fragments, Handbook

At Upwey South Primary School we value differences and inclusion. Students are encouraged to understand other individual students and to be able to accept differences amongst ourselves. Every person who spends time at Upwey South encounters change, an environment to grow and to expand their knowledge. Our students are encourage to be strong, confident humans who are kind to all people. They are leaders in many ways, both in curriculum areas, positive behaviour for learning and student leaders.

Fun in the yard

The change is in the air... How lovely it has been playing outside in the warmth of our late winter, early spring sun. Groups of kids playing basketball, shooting netball hoops, kicking the footy, swinging from bar to bar in the playgrounds, joining into chasey games, four square on the courts and students joining in with library activities.

BOOK WEEK - USPS Dress Up Day - Wednesday 21st August

Oh what fun we all had!!

The costumes and the smiles say it all. My favourite book is 'The Enchanted Woods' series, with the Folk in the Faraway tree being the book we are reading at bedtime at the  moment.

Continue to love books and enjoy the adventures we all go on while reading.

What a fabulous day we had with the Book week dress up day. So many of our students were enthusiastic to share their love of reading and the character they were dressing up as.

Thank you to all the families who also supported this event and encouraged student participation.
