Bonjour Parents and Students! 

Just like that it is week 4 in term two for our students here at Tarneit Rise Primary School. 

We continue to progress from last term, and we are so anxious to learn and practice more French. 

Prep students engaged in learning to talk about their favourite animal in French by using sentence starters “J’aime” which is “I like”. They also got to practice French educational songs ‘La Chanson des Animaux ♫ French Animals Song

Grade 1 students learned to say, write and to describe classroom objects and their colour by doing labelling and cutting and pasting activity.

Grade 2 students learned to name wild animals and describe their colour in French and worked on saying and describing their emotions in French.

Our grade 3 students concentrated on learning and practicing the ER verbs according to different subject pronouns. They also did revision on weather phrases and wrote a paragraph describing weathers across a country of their choice.

Grade 4 students consolidated their knowledge on a wide range of emotions by completing crossword activities, as well as creating a word list of emotions as extension. They also explored French grammar by looking at all six groups of subject pronouns and how to conjugate (change verb endings) according to the different subject pronouns.

Our grade 5 and 6 focused on formulating Yes or No questions in different ways, and they used their knowledge and the help of translation website to create surveys. They had so much fun asking questions to their peers in French and record the answers.
