YEAR 7 STEAM

On Tuesday 26th March, “Tech Taster” at Gippsland Tech School was experienced by the Year 7 STEAM elective students, and they loved it!

Students rotated through three activities which exposed them to industry changing technologies. They worked as individuals and as teams, working on communication and problem solving. Students were programming robots, using ‘Design Thinking’ to overcome some everyday hurdles, and then learnt how VR (Virtual Reality) can be used in a whole lot of places. Students learnt about how the world of work is changing, and the skills that will be most important for them as they move into the workforce.
