MATHS

YEAR 9 MATHS

Year 9 students are learning how to find the side length of triangles using Pythagoras’ Theorem. Students have had a matrix of tasks to choose from. Ella and Amelia chose to draw some examples in chalk on the basketball court and show their solutions which promotes interest amongst some Year 7 students at lunchtime who asked what it was about.

YEAR 7 MATHS

Year 7s learnt how to make dot plots with numerical data and find the average number of skittles in 12 mini packs. They identified the mean, median, mode and range for all 12 packets.

To finish up before eating the skittles they then made categorical graphs of the number of skittles in their own mini pack.
