Eastern Region Metropolitan Primary Cross Country Carnival

On Thursday 12th June, I went to Yarra Glen Racecourse for the Eastern Region cross country race. I was excited to start but I had to wait for a while. Then eventually I got called to the start line. The person who started the race had the starter gun. He said, it was a real gun, but I didn't think it was legal anyway.

When the race started, I was in the second row. It was a tough race, but I kept running. At the start everyone went out so fast, but I paced myself. By the end I was so tired, but I kept running fast. I thought I would fall over with exhaustion. Eventually, I finished the race. I came 18th and got a time of 8 minutes and 54 seconds. I am very proud of myself.

Judd H

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Judd H, who recently represented our school at the Eastern Region Cross Country Carnival. Competing against a field of 89 highly talented runners, Judd held his own in an exceptionally competitive 2km race, finishing in an impressive 18th place. Well done, Judd – we are all so proud of you!

House Athletics Carnival (Years 3 to 6 only)

We are seeking the help and support of many parents to assist with our upcoming House Athletics Carnival, which will be held on Thursday, 31st July at Tom Kelly Athletics Track in Doncaster.

We require parent volunteers to assist with the tabloid rotation, which will run from 9:15am to approximately 1:15pm. Tabloid stations include: High Jump, Discus, 800m, 200m, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Long Jump and Hurdles.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated in helping ensure the smooth running of the event and supporting our students on the day.

If you are available to help, please let me know by contacting me at stephanie.carbone@education.vic.gov.au. Thank you for your ongoing support.
