Letter to Family and Friends

Dear Families,

We are thrilled to invite you to experience the magic of our whole school musical production, Not Your Average Joe. This spectacular event is more than just a performance - it's a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and community.

A Stage for Everyone to Shine

Not Your Average Joe provides a fun opportunity for each of our students to step into the spotlight and express themselves. Whether they're acting, singing, dancing, or contributing behind the scenes, every child is part of bringing this story to life. It is a terrific chance for students to:

  • build confidence by performing in front of a live audience
  • explore their creativity in a supportive and joyful environment
  • discover hidden talents and develop new skills
  • experience the thrill of working as a team to create something special.

A True Team Effort

From rehearsals in classrooms to full school practices, the musical fosters connections between students across all year levels. It is a chance for friendships to blossom, for leadership to emerge, and for the entire school to unite in a shared mission. This production is not just a show - it is a whole community celebration.

Let’s fill the audience with smiling faces! Bring your family and friends and show your support for the incredible hard work and passion our students have poured into this performance.

We are so appreciative to our Parents & Friends group supporting the musical this year and providing financial assistance to help us move to a larger venue at Futures Church. We hope the new space will inspire fresh opportunities for creativity and performance.

As we are working on the finishing touches and preparation for this event, I would encourage you to support your child in three ways with the musical.

Celebrate the Journey: Ask your child about rehearsals, listen to them practise lines or songs, and acknowledge their effort. Even a small 'Well done!' after school can go a long way.

Build Confidence: Encourage a growth mindset by praising their bravery to perform, regardless of the size of their role. Remind them that every part contributes to the magic of the musical.

Show Up and Show Support: Attend the performance, cheer loudly, and make it a family celebration. Knowing you are in the audience will give your child a huge boost of confidence.

I look forward to finishing our term with a theatrical bang and wish you all the best for the school holiday break.

Warm regards,

Andrew Edmondson
