Graduation

Congratulations to the Class of 2023 on their end of year celebrations.

We followed up a positive last day of school with a really lovely Graduation Night at Moonee Valley Racing Club where staff, students and their families celebrated the achievements of the graduating class of 2023.

Exams & Assessments

The Victorian Curriculum & Assessment  Authority (VCAA) VCE Units 3 & 4 exams are going well, with many students having already completed a number of exams. The exam period will end on November 15.

Year 11 VCE  exams will run between October 13 and 17, alongside Year 7, 8 & 9 PAT Assessments, while Year 10 exams commence on November 20 - 24.

Report It

BSC is taking a pro-active approach to implement ways that our students can report any discriminatory, unsafe or inappropriate behaviour to staff.

The college has linked a  Report It tool on each year level's Teams Page as an additional means of reporting any concerns. Students can always speak directly to any trusted staff member in the school.

All submissions via Report It  are treated with absolute confidentiality, but are not submitted anonymously.  This ensures that  feedback can be given to the person reporting the concern, and by their preferred nominee (such as a trusted teacher or coordinator.)

Tamara Ghazale (Junior School Leader) and myself specifically spoke to Junior School students about the issue of unacceptable behaviours and the Report It  tool during assemblies last week.

These measures have been implemented to ensure  swift and consistent responses to any incidents of discriminatory or bullying behaviour, as well as promoting upstander behaviour.

Events

Much work is going into the Twilight Market, Junior Production and upcoming Art Shows. We had a great night celebrating the Year 12 Media films and Year 7 2024 students enjoyed their Music Information Session this week. It has been an incredibly busy but exciting start to Term 4.
