Dear Families and Friends,

What a wonderful and colourful week we have had at Trinity. A huge thank you to our families who got into the spirit of Book Week, dressing up children as so many wonderful book characters. Of course our main aim is always to promote a love of reading and literature which I believe we always do at Trinity. Thank you to Mrs Marienalli, our Literacy Leader, Ms Shaw our librarian and of course all our staff who made Book Week a special time once again this year. I sincerely hope that the importance of reading is promoted in each of our homes as this is such an important part of our children's learning for life.

Staff Professional Learning

Thank you in advance for supporting our Staff Professional Learning Day next Friday. I know that these days can cause some inconvenience for families and so your support is greatly appreciated. These learning days allow us to work as a whole staff group which is not possible of course when students are present. This Fridays learning will focus on Staff Faith Development and Religious Education.

School Closures

As you have all probably heard in the news recently, there have been four Catholic Primary Schools in Melbourne who have been told that they will have to close their doors at the end of this year as they are no longer viable due to declining enrolments. It is difficult to imagine how terrible this news has been for each of those school communities and we have reached out to them to offer whatever support we can. These school closures have an obvious impact on the children and their families who now need to find new schools for next year. There are also many staff in each of these schools who are also greatly impacted. We have already met with a number of families from St John's in Clifton Hill, one of the schools impacted, and I hope that we are able to offer them a suitable choice as they work through this difficult time. One thing I have assured them is that if they do choose Trinity they will be choosing a most welcoming and wonderful school.

Parking

Thank you to our parents and carers who do the drop off and pick up on Kent Street as we seem to be avoiding parking across the driveway and leaving cars idling for extended periods where people are gathering or walking. Our children's safety is always our main priority and I appreciate your ongoing cooperation in this area.

Prayers for Guidance

Dear Lord, I come to you today asking for guidance.

I feel lost and overwhelmed, and I need your help in finding my way.

Please open my eyes and heart to the direction you want me to take.

Help me to make wise decisions that will lead me closer to your path for my life. Give me the strength and courage to persevere when times are difficult.

Lead me with your truth and love, so that I may live a life that brings glory to your name.

Thank you for your guidance and protection.

Amen.
