RECONCILIATION

Dear Year 2 Parents/Carers

Last Tuesday 3rd October you would have received a note explaining the bookings for your child to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  We ask that you arrive AT LEAST 5 minutes before your designated time.  The first time begins at 4.45pm.

Attire for this occasion is either school uniform or neat casual.  No thongs or singlets.

You are also invited to attend the Church at 2.45pm on  Tuesday 17th October as the year 2 level will gather to have a Prayer Service as they prepare to receive the Sacrament.

Tuesday 10th October at 3.30pm to 4.30pm is our Reconciliation Faith Sharing Afternoon.  Our Year 2 students will be sharing and discussing their learnings and will also have the opportunity of discussing the importance of this Sacrament with their parents/carers.  This will take place in the Hall.

Year 6 Social Justice/Mini Vinnies Update

Yesterday the Year 6 Social Justice Group/Mini Vinnies held the second hand uniform shop summer sale in the hall from 3:00 PM. It was a little odd to be selling summer uniforms on such a wintery day but the effort was well worth it. We made almost $700 for our parish St Vincent de Paul Society.

We are in dire need for more donations of summer uniforms for both boys and girls.  It would be great if we could have some smaller sizes for the prep orientation days coming up in November.  If you have any uniforms to donate please leave them at the front office.
