Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to our new format of the St. Patrick's School Newsletter. I would like to welcome you all back to a bright Term 4! It has been fantastic to speak with the children before school and hear about their holidays and time spent with families. I am really looking forward to an exciting term of learning.
Morning Procedures Before School
My thanks to everyone for embracing the new format to the morning procedures. Just a reminder - the new procedures are as follows:
8:30am - Gates open as usual and students and parents are to remain on the basketball courts/asphalt area during this time. Students place their bags in their regular line up places. Students are not permitted to play large ball games but can play downball/chasing games. An additional senior staff member will also be on duty during this time to assist with supervision.
8:45am - The bell will ring as normal and class teachers will collect the students from their outside lines ready to begin the day. If it is raining before the morning bell, then the students will be directed inside earlier than the outlined schedule above.
Monday Assembly
In light of the above morning procedures - Monday morning assembly will now begin at 8:45am. This will enable us to streamline our day a little better and maximise our available learning time.

Student Feedback
My thanks to our Year 6 School captains who conducted a school wide student survey last term with 2 questions asked of each classroom - ‘What do you love about St. Patrick’s?’ & ‘What can we do to make St. Patrick’s even better?’ I will be sitting down with our captains to collate this very valuable data and they will present the findings in future newsletters.
Summer Uniform
From the start of Term 4 all students can begin to wear their School Summer Uniform. The full transition to Summer Uniform will be by Monday 16th October (Week 3, Term 4).
Taekwondo Coming to St. Patrick's
Next monday we will be having a special visit from FX Fitness Taekwondo club to our school assembly. They will be presenting information regarding the offering of Taekwondo lessons for our students in the school hall. We are looking at running sessions after school on Monday's and Thursday's from 3:30pm to 4:30pm Starting on the week of 23rd October. Please see attached info for more details.
