Brookside Specialist ExpoFEST – Wellbeing Display

Earlier in the term on the 8th of November, the Wellbeing Team had the opportunity to showcase some of the work completed throughout the year as part of the Brookside Specialist ExpoFEST.

Snapshots of various programs such as Raise, Stress Busters, and the R U OK? Ambassadors Leadership Program were on display for the school community to see and read about. The annual R U OK? Day Celebration was also given a spotlight to showcase the amazing event and coverage received this year.

Students and families who visited the stall were provided with resources around useful organisations and supports in the local area. This included information about upcoming school holiday programs, resources from organisations such as Headspace and Beyond Blue, and general wellbeing information regarding the Brimbank and Melton regions. Several giveaways were also up for grabs for any keen visitors, including wristbands, stickers, and more.

One of the main attractions displayed was the Be the ‘I’ in KIND mural painted by Liza earlier in the year. This was created during the lead up to R U OK? Day to help spread the message of kindness throughout our community, and to highlight the wellbeing space at The Zone. Families were welcomed to join in and take photos during the expo.

We would like to give a special thank you to Liza for inviting us to be a part of the ExpoFEST and thank everyone involved for making the event a huge success!
