Book Week 2023 - Read, Grow, Inspire 

Happy Book Week everyone!

Today we celebrated Book Week with a wonderful Character Parade.  It was fantastic to see so many children dressed in costumes and enjoying themselves as they paraded for their friends, teachers and parents.

We had such characters as Harry Potter, Nancy Drew, Belle, Alice in Wonderland, Billie B Brown, Minecraft, Sherlock Holmes, just to name a few. 

And the teachers joined in the spirit of the day by being book characters with a sporting theme. With soccer and football stars Sam Kerr and Tiny Timmy, tennis stars Ash Barty, basketball stars Tiki and Ronde, golfing star Marcus and Silver Shoes star Ellie and Maddie.   

Thank you everyone for making such an effort with your costumes. 

Author Visit

Continuing our Book Week celebrations, next week we will be treated to a visit from Matt Stanton – well known children's author.  Matt has written the Funny Kids and The Odds series and all the Books that Drive Kids Crazy series.   

Matt will be speaking to all our children on Monday, 28th August.  If any students bring their own Matt Stanton books from home on the day, he will be happy to sign them.

Purchasing Matt Stanton books:

For students who are interested in purchasing a signed copy of one of Matt’s books, he will be leaving fliers which direct students to an online store made specifically available for Roselea. He will then deliver the signed and labelled books back to Roselea for distribution to students three weeks after his visit. 

It will be a fantastic visit and we are very excited to welcome Matt to Roselea.
