Angela's Message

Dear Families,

Week 10 of Term 3 and the sun is shining! We have reached the end of winter which brings longer days and warmer weather but I am told that Spring is actually the season in which we see illness spread rapidly. We have had coughs, colds and tummy bugs going around St. Michael's. I kindly ask that if your child is unwell to please keep them home. We have some vulnerable people in our community and households, illnesses as mentioned can be quite serious for these people.

Book Week

This week St. Michael's celebrated Book Week. The theme for book week 2023 was Read, Grow, Inspire.  Our Book Parade on Tuesday the 12th of September did not disappoint; as usual our school community were resourceful and creative and put together some incredible costumes to represent some favourite characters and stories. We are very grateful to the families that support this fun event and acknowledge the effort that goes into preparing for this day. We had many parents in attendance at the parade which makes the event even more special for our students.

Denise's Pilgrimage

Denise is well into her Pilgrimage of the Holy Land and the staff of St Michael's and I feel so fortunate to have been taken along on this journey with some amazing images Denise has shared (thank you modern technology!).

We look forward to hearing more from Denise upon her return, we know she will have many stories to tell and a deepened connection to her faith that will undoubtedly enrich our community.

End of Term 3

Friday the 15th of September is the last day of Term 3. We finish at 2pm, please ensure you collect your child at this time. Children not collected by 2.15 will be sent to after school care. Term 4 commences on Monday the 2nd of October. Time to dig out your child's school hat as hats are required to be worn throughout term 4. Summer uniform is able to be worn from the beginning of term 4.

On behalf of the St. Michael's school staff, thank you for a joy filled and productive Term 3 and we hope you and your family enjoy some rest, relaxation and fun over the school holidays.
