ACC Open Chess Division 1 CHAMPIONS!

What a remarkable display of skill by Mazenod at the tournament in Ballarat on August 17th! Our Open Chess teams truly shone, securing Top 4 positions. A special shoutout to

Omika Perera (Year 7) for an extraordinary performance, claiming the 1st place spot.

A big round of applause goes out to all the students who represented the College with pride 👏In recent weeks, we've been on a journey through regional qualifiers, with more than 10 of our individual players successfully earning their spots in the upcoming Northern Stars Victorian Schools State Finals in October!

House Cross Country

Students of all year levels took to the track today to participate in the final House sporting event for 2023 - House Cross Country!

Spanning a 3km circuit for Junior School and 4km for Seniors, our runners put their all into achieving the best times they could muster in the hopes of solidifying a spot in the ACC Cross Country team and scoring points for their respective houses.

Congratulations to Grandin House for tallying the most points for the day, making them our champions for 2023!!

Book Week 2023

From captivating tales to enchanting illustrations, there's been something for everyone at the Mazenod College Library during Children's Book Week!

🌳 Introducing Sir Arbory Littleleaf, a living monument right at the heart of our library! Named by Xavier (Year 9), this majestic tree stands as a symbol of knowledge and growth. Students and staff are invited to contribute to its branches by adding leaves inscribed with their most cherished books and the reason behind their love for it, creating a forest of inspiration together.

There are plenty of fun activities lined up, including Kahoot Quiz competitions, escape rooms, and more!

Pippin — Performing Arts Excursion

On Friday August 11th a group of senior Drama and Music students travelled into the city to the Australian Institute of Music. There they had the joy of watching the institute’s annual graduate production. This year the production was the stage musical Pippin. It was great for our senior Performing Arts students to see a show put on entirely by graduating AIM students, from the acting and music to the sound and lighting. This was a great opportunity for them to witness possible pathways for their future careers.
