Term 4 Wrap Up

Bendigo Art Gallery

By Irae Akioka Savaii and Keya Patel

The long drive to the Art Gallery had everyone singing along the way to pass the time. Some of the highlights whilst we were at the Art Gallery, we saw how art was made by indigenous artist a long time ago. We used water colour painting to paint dots we were asked to use imaginations to create a fun design. These were displayed on the art gallery wall. On the way home the rain was heavy, but we were glad to get back to school.

Remembrance Day Service

By Mreedula Nandi

The Remembrance Day service was a special celebration of the soldiers who fought for us in the World Wars. We had a morning service in the courtyard amphitheatre where we layed a wreath and held a minute silence. Some students read out the " " poem. This experience was a memorable way to honour those who fought for us.

Year 7 Systems Engineering - Wyndham Tech

By Dvij Patel and Zoya Pradhan

Over the course of Term 4 we went to Wyndham Tech to engineer our way through various designs. Some of the highlights were building the Lego bits and animating the stuffed toys to move their heads and hands. We got to build various designs using various materials such as cupboard and hot glue that were attached to the servos, these were from the Hummingbird Kits. Using all of these items allowed us to bring our ideas and imagination to life. Anything we could imagine we were able to create, Ehan and Dvij created a twerking bear and Zoya created a circus swinging monkey. It was very enjoyable.

Viral Enigma - Quantum Science Excursion

By Munazza Ajaz

Our experience at Quantum Science was fun and engaging we got to save the world from the virus which was a pandemic of the "Q virus". The first activity we had to solve the DNA sequence and crack the mystery statement using our newly learnt understanding of genetics. We then got to wear the hazmat safety suits where we had to work in groups with people that we don't normally work with, to collect data by completing patterns at each of the bases. The last activity we used a simulation to see the effects of the virus on the population of people. We experimented on how we could make it better and allow them to survive the virus. Overall, our experience at Quantum Science was enjoyable because we got to know people we didn't really know well and we tried new activities that challenged our thinking and learn in a different way that we don't normally get to do at school.

eSports Tournament - Wyndham Tech

By Simarpreet Singh

The day was very enjoyable, over the course of the day we played various games like Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Minecraft Education and Rocket League. Different games meant that different people could showcase and explore the different skills they had. In Minecraft the max number of points was 30points but somehow the Bemin Team ended up with 120points. Our best efforts were in Minecraft and Rocket League. Mr Revote was really good at Super Smash Bros with Peach as his preferred character, he did try to help us by giving us some advice to change our characters, but he still beat us. Overall, our school came second place (Woohoo!) against a number of different schools in the Wyndham region. Hopefully next year we can beat Hoppers Crossing to first place.

Statewide Transition Day

2025 Year 7's

During our statewide transition day, 2025’s Year 7 students visited to meet their teachers and get a sneak preview of some of their future classes. Some of the lessons included programming games using Microbits in Digital Technology, creative team building exercises in Drama, performed experiments exploring water density in Science and moulded clay monsters in Ceramics. The students showed great enthusiasm, and staff are looking forward to continuing learning with them when they return next year.

Current Year 7's on Senior Campus

By Vini Galo and Savali Hallbauer

Our day at the senior campus was definitely a memorable one. We experienced how responsible you have to be to reach that level. We enjoyed all sorts of activities like using the really big gym (compared to junior campus) playing volleyball and T-ball. We played among us with Minute to Win It games to put our maths skills to the test. The bottle flip challenge was tricky but fun to play, I was able to flip the bottle and have it land 4 times in the minute. We got to meet some of the senior year's teachers. We were learning a new subject, which was Music, where we had to write our own song. Overall, our transition day was interesting and enjoyable, and we look forward to being able to use the oval and the really big space again.
