GRADE 6 - TERM 4 ART AWARDS

In Term 4, Grade 6 students explored visual conventions, as they analysed Georgia O'Keefe's use of colour, form and unity to communicate ideas and perspective through abstract art. Students learnt how to apply and blend chalk pastels to increase the complexity of detail in their work. So much talent was on display during this task, making it extremely difficult to select only a small few to share with the school community. Well done Grade 6’s. Congratulations to Bella for planning and practicing the techniques of chalk pastels to create a well textured and consistently even abstract image with smooth gradation. Special mentions are awarded to Sienna G, Jayde, Kelsee and Mitchell for their placement of the subject, including the colour choices made to produce a well-balanced abstract piece of art.
