Principal's News

Mr Brian Anderson

Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

This past Tuesday, December 3rd, we joyfully celebrated our Feast Day with a beautiful prayer service dedicated to St Francis Xavier. A heartfelt thank you to our SRC and Mrs. Barbera for leading the community so reverently in prayer that morning. I also shared my admiration for the dedication and hard work of the SRC throughout this past year. They have been a shining example of leadership, embodying the values of our school and bringing pride to both our school community and their families.

As we approach the end of a highly productive term, I hope many of you can join us tonight for Carols by Twilight, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm in the primary playground area. Gates will open at 4:30 pm via the Forbes Street entrance. It promises to be a delightful evening filled with festive cheer!

The school continues to be a hive of activity. Our swimming program is coming to a successful close, and it has been a joy to see the students enjoy and benefit from these sessions. We are currently planning to schedule the swimming carnival closer to the lessons next year to maximize their impact.

Preparations are also well underway for two important upcoming events: the Year 6 Graduation Mass on Wednesday 11 December at 6:00 pm and the

Mass of Thanksgiving on Friday 13 December at 9.15am.

While this is a bustling time in our calendar, it is also deeply rewarding as we reflect on and celebrate the many blessings of our St Francis Xavier Ashbury community.

Ms Girgenti will be released every Friday by Mrs Arlotta

Mr Crinti will be released by Mrs Valentinuzzi on a Monday

Mrs Swe will take over the Intensive Literacy Teacher role next year, working across Year1.

Ms Biskupic will continue to teach Music and Drama next year, as well as work with our enrichment groups three days a week.  She will work in another school teaching music for the other two days.

Mrs Cantrarella, Mrs Fitzgerald, Ms Gooch and  Mrs Menin will continue working across classes to support our Diverse Learners.

We have already entered two groups in Years 5 & 6 to enter the Da Vinci Decathlon at Knox Grammar School next year.

Have a great weekend ahead.
