Attendance

Attendance Matters

Regular school attendance is crucial for student success, as it builds consistency in learning, social connections, and skill development. Every day at school provides valuable opportunities for growth, and frequent absences can create gaps that are difficult to recover from. Being present not only supports academic achievement but also fosters responsibility and engagement in the school community.

Why attend school?

  • Improved Learning Outcomes – Students who attend school regularly perform better academically, as they engage in lessons, discussions, and hands-on activities essential for understanding.
  • Social and Emotional Skills – Attending school daily helps students develop friendships, teamwork, and resilience, contributing to their overall well-being.
  • Better Future Opportunities – Consistent attendance is linked to higher graduation rates and future success in education and employment, as it builds discipline and work ethic.

 Attendance at St. Kilian’s

Our goal at St. Kilian’s is to have term average attendance of over 95%! In Week 1 our attendance was 97.18%. I’m excited to see what our Week 2 data will be!

If you know that your child won’t be attending school, please contact the office and let them know that your child will be away!
