Thank you to the wonderful parents that attended the first Fundraising Meeting this week. It was fantastic to see new faces and hear some fresh ideas. We are always hopeful to see new members at upcoming meetings, and remind parents that you don't have to attend every meeting or help with every event to be part of the committee. Many hands make light work!
Come along to the next meeting on Tuesday 12th March at 7pm in the Staffroom to find out how you can help.
Easter Raffle | Drawn in last week of Term 1 |
Dixie Cup Ice Cream Drive | Last week of Term 1 |
Disco | Thursday 21st March |
Next week, each family will receive a book of raffle tickets priced at $1 each. We ask that you please return your money and ticket butts in the supplied envelopes. The raffle will be drawn in the last week of Term 1 at assembly.
To support the raffles success, we ask for donations to make up the many prizes the raffle is famous for. Blocks and boxes of chocolates, bags of Easter eggs, chocolate bunnies, Easter crafts, decorations and books are all great ideas for donations. Last year we had over 20 prizes that were awarded and the children loved it!
Donations can be sent with the children or dropped at the Office.
Make sure you put these dates in the diary so you don’t miss out. Four our students we will be running a Disco and for our parents, a Paint and Pour Social Night.
Here are just a few details. Be sure to look out for more information in upcoming newsletters and Compass.
The Disco will be held in the Sports and Performance Centre with three sessions for different year levels.
Prep: 2:30 – 3:15
Year 1 – 3: 3:30 – 4:20
Year 4 – 6: 4:30 – 5:30
We will also be providing a Sausage Sizzle from 3:30 – 5:45pm for those that would like to purchase an early dinner and put out a picnic rug on the oval.
The Fundraising Team is putting together a fun filled night for parents in June which will be held in the Sports and Performance Centre.
It will include a Silent Auction which in the past has raised over $3000 for the school.
We welcome any families that are able to provide goods or services that could be used for auction items, raffle or game prizes.
We estimate that we will attract around 150 people from the local area and beyond. By promoting your company through donated items, your business will receive excellent exposure. In return for your donation, we are also able to offer the following:
Please contact Melissa Roberts via Compass if you would be able to support the Silent Auction via a donation and we look forward to announcing the date of the event in upcoming newsletters.
All money raised this year will be used to install outdoor furniture to provide more seating options for students, as well as additional planting and more shaded areas.
