Global Arts

In our Global Arts class, the exploration of languages and cultures continues to unfold. Currently, we're engaged in honing our greetings in French and Spanish.

Adding a delightful cultural dimension, we've delved into the celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year, a festivity occurring right now from February 10th to 24th. This is the year of the Dragon.

Students have immersed themselves in the traditions associated with this significant event. To enhance their understanding, we've incorporated hands-on experiences, such as playing rhythms along with traditional Chinese music. The enthusiasm displayed by the students in embracing this musical style has been truly heart-warming.

Students in Year 5 and 6, have embarked on a new musical journey—learning to play the ukulele. This exciting addition to our curriculum broadens their musical horizons and will hopefully inspire them to pursue music in different forms as they grow older.
