Primary School
Dear Families
What a wonderful year we have had, full of excitement and events. I like to begin by thanking you for your support this year, our many gate chats and your help at our gatherings and events.
Term four has definitely been a busy term. A big thank you to Rie, Vera and Naomi for our wonderful Eurythmy and Orchestra concerts. We are so lucky to have these wonderful teachers with us and both concerts showcased the hard work they do and of course the students put in as well.
This week we formally farewelled our year 6 students. Two wonderful cohorts of incredible young people, they shall be missed. You couldn't help but be proud of them and their achievements especially considering their middle primary school years were interrupted due to Covid. The strength and determination I have seen from them this year have been inspiring.
Three of our classes ended the year on Camp, Well done to the teachers, ES and parent helpers of 5C, 6C and 6A.
I like to formally farewell Pairoj Prommer. Pairoj joined us in Term two taking over Class one. From the beginning, he won our hearts with his incredible knowledge of Steiner philosophy and pedagogy, warm smile and impressive jumping techniques. We wish him a warm and sunny future up north.
Another farewell but not forever is, Emma Kefford who will be going on leave. Emma will be missed but we are excited to hear about her new adventure and look forward to her return.
We are delighted to welcome two new teachers Rebecca who will be working closely with Simon and Bianca in the Main program Prep & grade 1/2 area and Alicia who will be with the Main program grade 3/4s. Alicia has been working as a CRT at Collingwood this year and is familiar with the school and the students. Rebecca comes from Fitzroy Primary School and has a great deal of experience she brings with her.
Please see below regarding 2024 starting times and classroom teacher confirmations.
I hope you have a wonderful summer break with family and friends and I look forward to welcoming you back in 2024.

The Birrarung Marr Installation - Years 3-4
At school we got into groups or 2 or 3 and we had to design boxes that looked like rivers. We used natural things as we weren't allowed to use man-made things. Before we made these we had several excursions to Birrrarung Marr to learn about it.
After we made them we set them up in the RMIT art gallery and we went to see the installation on Wednesday, 13 December. We were given food to eat there from Kelly (Arie's Mum)
Families came to see it on the Tuesday.
