Parents & Friends Association

On behalf of the Parents and Friends (P&F) Association, we would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year, and extend a special warm welcome to all the new families who have joined our Milgate Primary School community this year.

The Milgate Primary School P&F Association is run solely by parent and carer volunteers with the objective to create a strong, positive and friendly school community through the coordination of social events and fundraising initiatives. 

The P&F committee has several roles this year. Introducing our friendly team:

We have exciting plans for Term 1, 2024 and will be seeking volunteers to help organise and host several social events, including the following:

Term 1 P&F Events:

We believe that our school community extends beyond the classroom, and holding these social events enriches the lives of all our students, families and teachers. The events are also integral to generating funds that support educational and building initiatives undertaken by the school each year.

Last year, funds generated from the P&F Association were allocated towards several impactful projects including:

• Aluminium picnic table adjacent to the Year 6 playground
• Gaga pit (to be installed this year)
• Year 3 and 4 sand pit equipment and play toys
• Upgrade of rainbow play equipment in the year 1 and 2 areas (in progress)

This year, we are looking to raise funds towards:

• Wooden play space near the community building
• More ideas to come!

Volunteering for the P&F Association is a fabulous and rewarding way to connect with other families and teachers, and is a lot of fun too! If you would like to become a co-secretary or representative to attend monthly school council meetings, have skills that may assist with any committee roles, have new ideas or are keen to help coordinate and host our social events, we would love to hear from you! 

We would also like to reach out to any families with local businesses who can donate prizes for our fundraising raffles. The P&F Association would be most grateful for your help.

Anyone who would like to be a part of the P & F Association is more than welcome to attend our regular meetings held each month at school.
