Holiday Journaling

Dear Class 3 Families,

The children have been doing such an incredible job this term! They are working so hard in every way and I am so very proud of them. They have also worked very hard together to create what feels like a living, breathing dragon!

In our first Main Lesson, we looked at the stories of Genesis. In our next Main Lesson, we explored the ways that ancient cultures measured time. We then visited the Island of Grammatica and learned about Nouns, Adjectives, Verbs and Adverbs.

The holidays are not very long, but a holiday journal is a lovely idea to continue practicing writing skills. If your child would like to, they could write a few sentences about some fun moments and adventures from that day and do a drawing. You could have them underline the nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs in their sentences. I still have a journal that I wrote when I went away for a week in early primary school and the drawings I did really take me back to that time.

Next term will be full of Autumn Fair festivities, preparations for the school play, cubby building and gardening! We will be learning more Hebrew Tales, we will learn about the history of length and measurement, and we will be having a building Main Lesson. It is going to be a very full term!

Please remember to check important dates for Class 3 in the School Newsletter.

Have such a lovely break!

Warmly,

Lola
