Clean Up Australia Day
On Friday 1st March the Year 8s were involved in Clean Up Australia Day.
In the middle of the day all students spent two hours collecting rubbish from the school grounds, but they also worked together to clean up areas in the Wollert community. Such areas included nature strips, parks and local greenspaces.
This was such a fantastic initiative, and all students work so hard to clean up our community.
The year 8s collected in total 7 bags of recyclable materials and over 16 large bags of waste that went to landfill, as well as two trolleys and large pieces of Styrofoam and building materials. All year 8 students should be so proud of their efforts - Well done Year 8!
