School Canteen

While we do offer convenient canteen ordering through the Qkr! app, the school canteen is also open at both recess and lunch for students who wish to purchase snack items over the counter.

This is a great opportunity for students to practice their confidence using real life skills like handling money, working out change, and conversing with someone at a cash register.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sports Day Canteen Orders

We are pleased to share that the canteen will be available on Sports Day, Thursday 28th March!

QKR will be available for ordering as a normal day with collection from 12.30pm onwards. Please note - orders made through the app cannot be collected earlier than this time.

The canteen will also be selling some hot food over the counter, as well as fresh sandwiches and wraps, and some watermelon tubs along with fruit salads.

As the gym with be busy on the day, please use the side ordering window in the hall opposite the bathrooms when visiting the canteen.

Sports Day concludes at 12.45pm.

Growing Faith At Home

You could say that in today’s society there is a focus on ‘self’. The word ‘sacrifice’ is uncomfortable. It involves putting someone else’s needs ahead of our own. We honor people who have served in military settings on special days of the year... and then there is Jesus. ‘God so love the world that he gave his one and only Son...’ (from John 3:16) Knowing that God’s love for us is so great, that He allowed His deeply loved Son to be sacrificed for us is momentous!  It is also the message of Easter. Have a look at this week’s GFH resource for some discussion starters to try with your family. For another Lenten activity have a look at ‘The Road to Calvary’. Possibly more suited to families with younger children. God bless your week.

Seasons for Growth

Seasons for Growth is an 8- week program for children who have had changes occur in their families through death, separation, divorce or related circumstances. It has been run at Good Shepherd for many years now and each year we see the fruit of children having an opportunity to process change in a safe, supportive group. We have normally run groups for stages 2,3 and 4 in term two but are open to running one this term if the need is there. The groups run for 45 minutes once a week.  Children join the group with parent permission, at the suggestion of a parent and/or their teacher.

If you think your children might benefit from this valuable program, or have more questions about it, please contact;

Renee Baker renee.baker@gspv.sa.edu.au

Sonia Hulme sonia.hulme@gspv.sa.edu.au

and we will be in touch.

More information on the program is available at https://www.mackillopseasons.org.au/programs/seasons-for-growth-children-and-young-people/

Enrolment for Endeavour College

Dear Connected Schools Families,

Endeavour College is excited to launch their new enrolment process via Digistorm.

Many families who have already submitted an application form or confirmed enrolled children for Year 7 2025, would have received an email from the college with a link to their new form. This will enable a smooth enrolment process with accurate and up-to-date information that will assist in the transition to High School.

If you have not received an email, please contact enrolments@endeavour.sa.edu.au.

For those who have not yet applied, please use the following link, Enrolment Inquiry - Endeavour College.

The application fee is waived for our Connected Schools community.

The Endeavour College enrolment process for Year 7 2026 will commence soon. Please ensure that your application is received before March 15th 2024, to ensure the priority enrolment is applied.

TASS Parent Lounge

Don't forget to sign into Tass Parent Lounge to update your child/ren's medical details, any address or phone number updates, or add emergency contacts.

Every parent will need to access the TASS Parent Lounge to accept excursion permissions multiple times throughout the year.

If you need help to sign into the TASS Parent Lounge, come and see the front office staff who can show you how, on the dedicated laptop provided in the front office space.

School Absences

Please don't forget, if your child is going to be absent from school you will need to notify both their classroom teacher and the front office. This can be done via email. The front office email is: admin@gspv.sa.edu.au

This helps us ensure that your child is safe and accounted for, and that we have the correct information regarding their absence.

Siblings

If you have not yet submitted an enrolment application for any siblings of current students, please do so as soon as possible to ensure a position is available, the sooner the better! Your prompt attention to this is greatly appreciated. Enrolment applications can be collected and returned to the front office.
