We are learning to measure and compare mass. 

VOCABULARY

Mass: Measuring how much matter is in a person, object or substance.

Grams: A unit that measures mass.

Kilograms: Another unit of measuring mass. There are 1000 grams in a kilogram.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Find five small objects around the house and measure how many grams they weigh. 

Using one of the objects, work out how many of them would be needed before they weigh a full kilogram.
