Kairos 35, Shopfront Appeal and Kimberley Immersion Collections

Kairos 35

On Tuesday, 12 March, 28 of our Year 12 students headed off to Kairos 35. Kairos is a Christian retreat geared towards deepening one's faith, identity, relationships, and connection to God's role in our lives. We were so proud of the mature way that they approached the retreat and were fortunate to have fantastic student leaders who were great role models for the rest of the group. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Mitchell Keeley (Rector), Sienna Ambler (Assistant Rector), Ben Paddon (God's DJ) and Sienna Bien (Liturgy Co-ordinator). I also thank Ms Sharon Rainford, Mr Brendan Lewis, Ms May Dao, Mrs Sylvia Matchado, Miss Karen Magee, Mrs Laura Marsden and Ms Cecilia Loh for accompanying us on the retreat and willingly sharing their lives with our students.

Shopfront Appeal

Thank you to those in our community who gave generously to our Shopfront Appeal over the last two weeks. Our generosity was fantastic as always and we know that we have helped a significant number of families who are doing it tough at the moment. I would like to share a short snippet of the letter I received from Damian Walsh (Director of Shopfront) after he collected our donations on Tuesday, 26 March:

Please pass on my thanks and appreciation to the staff, students, and College community for their support. As a result of your support the Shopfront will continue to provide much needed assistance to the many people who come through our doors each day.
