Student achievements

Kalinda Kids shine!

Every day Kalinda kids are achieving great things in their classroom and yard, but we know that outside of school, they are often kicking lots of goals as well (literally and figuratively)! Celebrating the growth of 'the whole child' is something we treasure.

If your student has an achievement that you would like to share please send to Mrs. Hopkins so that we can celebrate them in the newsletter! Whether it is a sporting achievement, Karate grade, Cub badge, community service or amazing new skill - we want to share it with our community.

I can't wait to hear about your achievements and share them with our community!

Archie the Little Aths star

Submitted by proud dad Curtis

On Sunday 17th March, Archie (1B) participated in his last Little Aths competition for the current season (Under 7 Boys) at Ringwood where he recorded his 14th, 15th and 16th personal best times (PBs) for the year, recorded over just a 21 week period - an amazing effort which saw him receive a silver medal on the day and an achievement that will result in him receiving a Gold Medal at the club Presentation Day in April.

Awesome Auskickers!

Submitted by Foundation parents,

Foundation students Jayden, Charlie and Lachlan in FG and Penny  in FW  played 1/2 time Auskick on Friday 15/3 at the MCG between Collingwood and the Swans. What a huge achievement to play in front of all those people!

On Saturday in Round 1 Archie (1B) played at Half Time of the Essendon v Hawthorn match on the MCG in front of 83,000 footy fans! He was part of the Auskick kids who were selected to play and got plenty of kicks but more importantly, he helped pick a few kids up off the ground who had inadvertently fallen over during the match…displaying great sportsmanship.
