House Cross Country details below -

AFL Girls Gala Day

The girl's AFL team from Kalinda Primary School had an exciting and eventful day at the recent Maroondah/Manningham Division Girls AFL Gala Day!  Winning their first game must have been a great boost for their confidence, and it's impressive that they played competitively throughout the day, even in close matches.  It's also wonderful to hear that they embraced the tackling aspect of AFL and were able to develop their skills over the course of the event. A big shout out to Mr. Anderson for coaching and guiding the girls, as well as to the supportive parents who were there to cheer them on. Participating in events like these not only builds skills but also creates memorable experiences for the students. Here's to more successful and enjoyable sports days in the future!

Families are welcome to come and watch, we ask that you stay in the barriers and keep smaller children in a safe place to view. This is for the safety of our visitors, and the runners.

How can you help your student be prepared?

We will encourage all students to show resilience, and be involved. This may be in the form of walking, or fast running. We will support, encourage and cheer all in good sportsmanship. We ask all families to support o school values if coming onsite to observe this wonderful school event.

Ensure students take preventative medication on the day.

Dress appropriately in house colours. Closed-toe running shoes. Do not wear 'good or special clothing' that may be damaged. It is an outside, running event.

If you are helping on the day, please follow the instructions given by the organisers.
