Get a digital Working with Children Check now

Add a digital Working with Children Check card to the Service Victoria app on your phone, so you can easily store and show your Check. It’s easy, private and secure. Even if your physical card is still valid, you can get a digital card too. You can keep using the physical card until it expires so long as your clearance remains valid.

The digital card is an online alternative to the physical card and will:

  • provide real time information about the validity of your Check
  • give you a convenient way to store and show your Check
  • reduce environmental impact.

A digital Working with Children Check card is safer than a physical card. You can’t lose it, and it shows the status of your Working with Children Check in real-time.

Applying for or renewing your Working with Children Check through Service Victoria hasn’t changed.

How to get a digital card

It takes less than 5 minutes to add a digital card to your phone. Before you start you’ll need:

  1. Your Working with Children Check card number or application number. If you don’t know your card number, find it at service.vic.gov.au
  2. The Service Victoria app on your smartphone. Get the Service Victoria app from the App Store or Google Play
  3. A Service Victoria account. If you don’t have a Service Victoria account, create one at service.vic.gov.au/account. It’s free and takes less than 5 minutes.

Open your Service Victoria app and tap ‘My Wallet’ at the bottom of the screen. Tap ‘Working with Children Check’ and follow the instructions. Once you’ve added your digital card, tap ‘My Wallet’ to see and show it.
