Details for your students to participate in the BMC 2024 Finals (Victorian Curriculum)

Years 3 to 6 - Sunday 16th June

• Finalists recite the same poem recited in the first round, off by heart, before a jury of 2 assessors.
• The oral exam finals will be conducted live direct via Zoom at the below appointed times.
• Remind students to speak up clearly 😊
• Students click on the link 5 minutes before their scheduled time. A message will appear asking them to wait until the examiners (HOST) admit them to the meeting. 
• Students hold up an A4 sheet of paper with their FULL NAME clearly written just at the beginning so the examiners can correctly locate their name on their records.
• Sometimes technical issues happen, if this happens, it may create delays in the times allocated. Please be patient for your assessment.
• Should any technical issues occur during the assessment period which cannot be resolved by the examiners please email competition@afmelbourne.com.au
• Attached is some important reading to be sure finalists are ready to be assessed via Zoom.
• Please ensure that your Zoom Display Name matches the name you enrolled in the competition with. This will help the examiner admit participants in order from the Waiting Room.

To change your Display Name on Zoom:

• Select Participants, located in the bottom toolbar of the meeting window.
• Hover over your name and select More (desktop) or tap your name (mobile).
• Click or tap Rename.
• Enter the name you used to enrol in the BMC competition.
• Click Rename (desktop) or Done (mobile).
