Performing Arts & Music

The Foundation, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students have enjoyed learning all about the dynamics of music. They have been practising how to play instruments loudly (forte) and softly (piano) through a number of different activities. They have also been learning through moving and singing in these measures.

I had some wonderful volunteers singing different songs to the class ‘piano’ (quietly) and some ‘forte’ (loudly). I was very proud of these students who confidently performed to the class on their own.

Well done performers!

Poppy (FZ) sung to the class ‘Piano’.

Remy (2K) sung to the class ‘Forte’.

Willow (2L) sung to the class ‘Forte’.

Jeremy (FD) showing our Performing Arts friend ‘Forte’ the dog. We hid Forte and the class had to sing louder as Jeremy got closer to finding where Forte was hidden. The children all loved playing this game and were really able to grasp an understanding of changing dynamics by playing along.
